Kit and Ace

production and content creation

Storytelling was at the heart of The Ante, Kit and Ace’s digital magazine designed to spotlight creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators who embody the spirit of timeless technical clothing.

The Ante became one of Kit and Ace’s most-loved storytelling projects in 2016. It gave the apparel brand a consistent editorial voice, built deeper audience connection, and showed the heart behind the people who wear and create Kit and Ace.

About The Project

Where thoughtful storytelling met the lifestyle behind Kit and Ace.

The Ante was created as a storytelling platform to bring the Kit and Ace brand to life through in-depth editorial features. Each month, we built digital magazine around a theme, from sports to entrepreneurship and mindfulness, and featured real humans who embodied that idea in their work or lifestyle. The goal was to tell stories that went beyond clothing and fashion, helping the brand connect with their customers and audience in a more meaningful way.

My Role in The Ante

Bringing storytelling, photography, and design together to create something that felt as good as it looked.

Once we had chosen a theme for the issue, I found and interviewed potential feature subjects, diving deep into their stories and what inspired them. From there, I turned those conversations into long-form editorials, working with our in-house team for photography and design. I also worked closely with the social and email teams to make sure each story got the spotlight it deserved across all channels. Over two years, I wrote, edited, and produced around 100 articles. Each one felt like such a beautiful collaboration between storytelling and strategy.
