About The Project

Junction Media hired me to write the entire travel guidebook for two Northern BC destinations — Tumbler Ridge and Dawson Creek — a bold, adventure-forward resource for visitors exploring the Peace Region. My job was to inspire road-trippers and nature-lovers with immersive storytelling, clear visitor information, and a unified narrative that painted both towns as must-visit stops on a journey north.

The final piece? The Adventure Seekers Guide to Tumbler Ridge & Dawson Creek, a rich, photo-forward publication designed to showcase the wild landscapes, historic landmarks, waterfalls, hikes, and hidden gems that make this region worth the drive.

Exploring the North

Tumbler Ridge and Dawson Creek may be remote, but they’re bursting with character, wonder, and geological marvels. With that in mind, I aimed to create a guide that:

  • Told a cohesive story about the region’s history, landscape, and modern charm

  • Showcased Tumbler Ridge’s rugged trails, waterfalls, and dinosaur discoveries

  • Captured Dawson Creek’s mix of culture, hospitality, and Alaska Highway lore

  • Made it easy for readers to dream, plan, and pack their bags

This project required distilling a lot of information into something streamlined, exciting, and easy to follow. We wanted to craft each section to match the voice and tone we envisioned: adventurous, accessible, and awe-inspiring — like a National Geographic-style invitation to explore.
